Ericsson Client lets you send files such as addresses, calendar events, melodies, themes¹, and pictures to your Sony Ericsson phone using Bluetooth, cable, or your PowerBook's IR-eye. All necessary conversion between different character encodings and formats is handled automatically by Ericsson Client when you send address book items and calendar event files from Palm Desktop or Entourage.

By dropping text from most OS X applications in Ericsson Client's window, you can create notes in compatible² phones; perfect for driving directions, shopping lists, and other short texts.

You can also download the phone book and calendar from your phone for backup or sharing purposes. This makes it easier to cope with parting from your phone when it's at Sony Ericsson to receive an upgrade.

Speaking of upgrades, Ericsson Client lets you see what software version is currently in your phone, making it easier to determine if your phone is up for an upgrade.
