|
|
Hi,
I've successfully select my SE K700i in Salling clicker for Windows.
I have copied the client jar to my programs folder on the phone.
When I start the client MIDP app and select 'Connect' I get an error message saying:
Cannot connect
Device inquire failed
What does that mean? Is it a Bluetooth message or application level message?
P.S. What does work fine though, is accessing the clicker trough "Accessories"
but this only gives me text based (=ugly) interface. And only allows me to play/pause D.S.
Thanks for a (when I get it working) great product |

Hi!
Your phone does not (and cannot) support the MIDP app. Glad to hear that the supported method is working as it should, though! :-)
Best.

Uh?
If I don't use the MIDP client what should I use?
Are you saying that all I get for 250:- SEK, is a
text based display of currently playing song.
plus the ability to pause/play and skip track??
I get the impression from both the http://www.salling.com/Clicker/windows/
page and the help package that I'll get a iTunes/Mac look-and-feel
with functionality like viewing cover art, browsing playlists etc.
I really hope I'm wrong...

Oh! sorry, just saw that you actually don't support graphics for my phone in the "supported devices" list.
Well too bad. looks like I just threw my money away.
Will you ever support graphics for the K700 ?
What do you mean by that it cannot use the MIDP? |

Sorry for not being specific in about the MIDP statment.
The K700 lacks the Bluetooth "APIs" in Java. Hence, a Java app cannot use Bluetooth. So we have to use the Sony Ericsson accessory UI features instead.
I suggest you give the app a chance. Try pressing the right softkey, while in the iTunes controller, for instance.
Best.
