I have got an ASUS A620BT and I try to use salling clicker.
If I install brand:windows mobile 2003 and model: pocket pc when I want to connect to device I read: "could not find any useful services on this device". And if I try to install model: pocket pc (widcomm), salling clicker doesn't work on my ppc.
Thanks |

Could you please try to figure out what brand Bluetooth stack is running on your PPC? Your best bet is to open the Blutooth settings on your device and tell us what you see.
ADD: doesn't look like it's widcomm.
Best.

This looks like Widcomm alright... ;-)
Try uninstalling the client you have installed now, and install the "Pocket PC (Widcomm)" version. Let me know in more detail how it does not work.
Best.

I have installed the Pocket PC (Widcomm)" version on my device. Then I have selected my device (which was ever conected, it's a problem ?). Then I wanted to start salling clicker on my device and I read this message:
'ClickerApp' n'est pas une application Pocket PC valide.
In english: 'ClickerApp' is not an a valid Pocket PC application.
And so when I want to click on:"connect to device" I read: "could not find any useful services on this device". |

Okay. Thanks for your patience. We're investigating a similar issue with an HP model. At this point, I do not know the cause of this problem.
Could you check to see if ASUS has any upgrades for you to install?
Best.

Okay. Stay tuned. When I hear from the other guy doing testing on the HP, I'll reply here. Your problem seems identical.
Best.

Hi,
Thank you for this additional information. It's very helpful
Clicker (Widcomm) requires at least version 1.4.1 build 60 of the stack. Your ASUS is well below that, explaining the results you're mentioning.
Your best bet is to find a way to upgrade/replace the stack. Over at the PocketPCThoughts (?) forums, someone mentioned finding a downloadable Microsoft stack (using Google) that worked on his ASUS, and made it work with Salling Clicker.
For now, there's not much I can do.
Best.

Can someone help me to upgrade/replace the stack of my ASUS A620BT.
I know it's not the good subject but I have looked it for some weeks and I am discouraged.
Thanks |
