I did get your email. As it didn't seem urgent, I'll respond later today. Feel free to send newer copies of your script.

Cheers.

Wow Jonas that worked perfectly! I would kiss you if you were next to me...thank goodness for the both of us that you're not :lol:

I'll shoot you another e-mail with my script in it so you can toy with it and maybe give me feedback... (It's pretty useless unless you've got MCE working though)

In one of my scripts I have remapped the volume/play/pause controls to navigational keys. How do I get the remapped buttons to stop lighting up when I press the 'dead' button?

(I press left to navigate left but the Rewind button still highlights.)

You cannot. At least not yet.

I suggest that unless you're offering mediaplayer-type functionality with transport control etc, you use the keypad widget instead of the mediaplayer widget.

Here's how you create it:

[code:1]
CreateKeypadScreen( prefix );
[/code:1]

The rest, i.e., the key event handlers work in exactly the same way as with the mediaplayer widget.

This widget type won't show the media transport on-screen buttons. Also, it won't show the timeline.

Best.

I actually kind of like how it is running atm. It shows screen presses and you can use the screen to navigate that way too.

Is there a program that would make looking at all this text easier than notepad? lol!

Thanks!

I'll strongly recommend Ultraedit, Textpad or Context.

Yes. I believe they do already. Did you check? You may need to decode the format, but you should definitely see something coming in.

Cheers.

no keys are typed on the screen when I type them on my palm. Let me run a diagnostic and see if anything is getting sent and see what I can do.

Ok keys are being sent. But they are not picked up as keyboard keys...how do I change this? I want the graffiti to send keyboard keys.

I could set the script up so that every single key on the keyboard has a keyboard keystroke to be sent but that would be tedious and I'm sure there's a simpler way. Any ideas?

Like:
[code:1]
function MyRemote_KeyDown(theScreen, theKey)
{
if( theKey == "A" ) {
SendKeystroke( 0x77, false );
}
[/code:1]

(The hex code is incorrect but it's just the example)
