I've got a Gigabyte Bluetooth Dongle which would normally use the Blue soleil drivers, so I didn't install them at all and use the windows drivers instead.
The first time I tried Salling Clicker it worked just fine but now all I get is errors.
When connecting from the phone (SE K750i) I get "Bluetooth seems not to be launched on this Computer" and "Salling Clicker does not appear to be launched" int turn. When trying to connect from the PC I get "Negotiation error. err = 25"
The normal Bluetooth connections from PC to Phone and vice versa are all working, I can also use the SE remote control feature on the phone, so I don't understand why Salling is not working.
Only idea I've got is that it's not working because it's still trial and not activated.

Hi,
Out of curiosity, how did you connect from the computer with this type of phone? The UI should lead you away from doing so, as it will not work (something you discovered).
Could you please open Salling Clicker on the PC and select the About tab? What does it say under Support Information?
Best.

What do you mean the UI should have prevented me? |

When the phone asked you to authorize the outgoing connection, what did you respond with?
Best.

well first I thought of denying it but then this seemed too risky to me so I ripped the BT chip out of the phone ;-)
No, of course I authorized the outgoing connection.
As I said it even worked once. |

LOL. Ok.
Is there something you haven't told me, such as: are you using the dongle on multiple computers?
Best.

Okay. But when you got it to work, the dongle was on this new PC, right?
A couple of things to check:
1. Can I ask you what firmware is on the phone?
Here is how to find the firmware version on your phone. In standby mode, enter:
* > * < < * < *
Explanation: <> stands for arrow, * is a star
2. Can you currently send, say, an image from the phone to the PC?
Best.

R1J002
prgCXC 125352_EU_1_CL
R1J002
That should be the firmware
And no I can't send images to my PC, it's not in the list.
Also when I g to BT and select services (Hope it's called that way in english) it says something like no local services found. |

I'd say this indicates that Bluetooth on your PC is hosed... Would you not agree?
Please try restarting your PC and let me know if that helps.
Best.

I just tried Bluetooth Remote Control from bluetoothshareware.com, similiar to your application, won't work either and gives error message "No correct services found" so it seems the problem is somewhere in the drivers or windows settings. |

There really aren't many settings in Windows' Bluetooth that can go wrong. It is possible, I guess, that your dongle is not completely compatible with the MS stack.
Another possibility might be that the pairing is wrong, or that your adapter is hooked up to an unpowered USB hub.
Best.
