I do know some people are working on a Clicker plugin script for it.

Best.

I have a script for VLC in the works. It's rather simple, but fully functional. It lets you:

1. Find and open movies.
2. Scan within a movie.
3. Play/pause.
4. Toggle fullscreen mode.
5. Control volume.

Stay tuned.

Best.

VLC users: give this one a shot.

1. Download the attached zip file
2. Open it up, and grab the two folders inside into:
...\My Documents\My Clicker Scripts\
3. Open Salling Clicker
4. Select the "VLC" category
5. Drag the "VLC Remote" item over to the left-hand side
6. Click OK.

Quick guide:
d-pad center click : toggle play/pause
d-pad center hold : toggle full screen
d-pad up/down : control volume
d-pad left/right : scan through the movie

The More menu has an item to find and open a movie

Best.

Thanks so much Jonas!

Do you know if anyone has developed or will develop a slightly more advanced script for VLC?

Specifically, I would love a way to:

- fastforward / rewind in smaller increments (at the moment it searches 60 seconds with one click)

- "open movie" and select an iso file and then navigate dvd menus

Many thanks again

i was just wondering if this script could be updated? it's much better than the other vlc controller script available imo... except that only the open vlc, open file, fullscreen toggle and volume up down controls seem to be working.

could this please be looked into?

the script error log gives this:

Thu May 17 16:23:40 2007
VLC Remote - Microsoft JScript runtime error
[Line: 147 (3)] Object doesn't support this property or method

every time i hit either the scanning buttons or the play/pause button.

thx in advance.

Take a look at this.

Remote'EmAll
http://www.petripaavola.fi/remoteemall

It's a J2ME software for mobiles and it includes Winamp, MPC and VLC remotes at the time and perl socket-server which provides fast search and filesystem browsing. It uses TCP/IP (GPRS,3G,WLAN) to send commands to PC.

MPC and VLC interfaces are quite robust, but I'm currently making them better.

I actually found SallingClicker this week and I haven't tested it yet. Can someone tell me does these programs do exactly same things :?:

hi
How can i open WMV or mp3 files with VLC ? In this script i can only use Mpeg, avi and divx ? thanks

I think i have to change something here:
[code:1]
e = new Enumerator( folder.files );
for( ; !e.atEnd(); e.moveNext() ) {
var file = e.item();
var filename = file.Name;
var fileext4 = filename.substr( filename.lastIndexOf("."), 4 ).toLowerCase();
var fileext5 = filename.substr( filename.lastIndexOf("."), 5 ).toLowerCase();
if( fileext4 == ".mpg" || fileext4 == ".avi" || fileext5 == ".mpeg" || fileext5 == ".divx" ) {
items.push( file.Name );
}
}
}

return items;
}
[/code:1]

greets
maniche

I dunno what the difference is between "fileext4" and "fileext5" is, but I changed that line to this and it seemed to work:

[code:1]
if( fileext4 == ".mpg" || fileext4 == ".avi" || fileext5 == ".mpeg" || fileext5 == ".divx" || fileext5 == ".mp3" || fileext5 == ".mp4" || fileext5 == ".flv")
[/code:1]

Actually you can change time jumps increments in VLC's options (must tick "show advanced options")

Enjoy
