Hi!

I'm hoping to keep the pace up in posting new releases, and do so a bit more often than in the past. 3.0.1 is just around the corner, and I need your help in trying it out.

Not all known issues will be fixed in 3.0.1. That's what 3.0.2 is for! ;-) Here's the run-down:

What's new in Salling Clicker 3.0.1 (v330)?
- Now supports Phone Events ("simplex"; not while used as remote control) on select Sony Ericsson phones.

What's new in Salling Clicker 3.0.1 (v325)?
- Added support for Windows Mobile 5;
- Code signed Java midlet, allowing proper operation with Cingular-branded Z520a and W600a;
- Added some additional HP, Audiovox, Siemens, QTEK, Dopod, and Dell models;
- Added a "notes button" to select device models in the Device Setup Assistant;
- MIDP/Java client: now shows a more helpful error message if no devices are found;
- Fixed empty visual keypad list for Treo 650;
- Added help items for BSPlayer and Call Notifier scripts;
- Renamed BSPlayer script item;
- Improved app icon on hi-res Windows Mobile devices

What's new in Salling Clicker 3.0.1 (v309)?
- Improvements to BSPlayer controller;
- Improved PowerPoint file browser; Now remembers the last browsed directory, and should work better on non-English systems.
- Fixed issue with BSPlayer Open Movie and removable drives;
- Added ability in PPT to view the full notes;

What's new in Salling Clicker 3.0.1 (v307)?
- Now compatible with old Nokia Series 60 devices;
- Added Nokia N70 model;
- Added a call notification script (see the Phone Events tabs);
- Fixed a spurious crash issue;
- No longer crashes when Windows Mediaplayer 9 (or better) is not installed;
- Fixed GPRS issue in some Windows Mobile devices;
- Fixed issue with TCP/IP connections going stale when left unused in Windows Mobile and Palm OS devices;
- Improved support for hi-resolution displays in Windows Mobile client;
- Palm OS client now works over GPRS (for advanced users);
- Improved ability of scripts to control "unscripted" applications;
- Worked around some UI-related issues with the W550i RTM firmware;
- Improved ability of Symbian installer to kill off old server versions;
- Added scripts to control BSPlayer;

You can download the new build here:

www.salling.com/Downloads/SallingClickerSetup330.exe

Note: make sure to check the About tab after installation, to make sure it says 3.0.1 (330)

If you have bugs to report, please do so here:

www.salling.com/contact/

Let me know if it fixes what it claims to fix!

Cheers.

Installation procedures:

1. Download the zip file and unzip it;
2. Drag the resulting folder into: ...\My Documents\My Clicker Scripts;
3. Open Salling Clicker;
4. Find the new script in the 1st tab's scripts list;
5. Drag the desired script into the left-hand side's Clicker Items area; and
6. Click Apply or OK.

Best.

So I'm new to this stuff...my friend turned me on to this piece of software back in the day but as I dont own a mac...it was useless until now. I was VERY pleased to see that BSplayer is being supported. I have 2 problems with it however and I may work on fixing them myself.

Problem 1) you cannot start an OGM or OGG movie with salling clicker. So far only mpg and avi files will show up on the Start Movie option.

problem 2) I guess this'd just be my thing since I have plenty of fansubs, but I like to be able to turn the subtitles on and off in BSplayer. this is done simply by hitting the letter "S" (only for stuff where the subs are not hardcoded in of course).

Unfortunately this cannot be done on the phone. Like I said...maybe its just a thing for me that no one else would care about, but I care about it, so is there a way of fixing this?

Thanks alot for this program. It rather kicks ass.

scratch that. I modified the js script to this:

if( fileext4 == ".mpg" || fileext4 == ".avi" ||

fileext5 == ".mpeg" || fileext5 == ".divx" || fileext4 == ".ogg" || fileext5

== ".ogm" )

so now the ogm and ogg files play. sweetness. Now all it needs is mkv viles added and it'll be really versitile.

but now all I need is a way for it to return the value "s" to BSplayer when I hit a certain key on the phone. S is what toggles the subtitles...so anything that would simulate the keyboard stroke "S" would work. My javascript skills arent so great though, so could you possibly write a script like that?

Try this for sending the S keystroke:

SendKeystroke( 0x73, true );

Or, if you're writing for 3.0.1, this will work too:

SendUnicodeKeystroke( 0x73 );

Best.

yea I cannot get the keystroke to work. I think I screwed up somehow. I'll hit 7 but it doesn't do anything to BSplayer

Does it need to be an uppercase "s"? Is BSPlayer frontmost? There are several ways to do this.

Best.

I'm pretty sure that it does not have to be a capital S. I'm almost positive. All you do is hit the letter "s" on the keyboard and it works. As for BSplayer needing to be in the forefront...you mean the window has to be in focus?

Yea it does. But hitting anything on the phone makes it get into the forefront, so that shouldn't be a problem.

So basically I should have it set up in the mykeypad_KeyDown function right? And it should be something like
else if( theKey == "7" )
{
// VK_O
SendKeystroke( 0x73, false); }
shouldnt it? Also, I tried both False and True in that second part and neither have worked (what exactly does the false or true do?)

"true" tells the API that you're passing a unicode value, as opposed to a virtual keycode.

Did you also try the other API I hinted at?

You may also want to try sending a virtual keycode as per described in other threads here in the forums.

If that doesn't work for some obscure reason, I think we should see if there's some window message that can be sent to do what you want to do.

Best.

Nope. Still not working. I tried SendUnicodeKeystroke( 0x73 ); and that didnt work. I also tried 0x53 because I saw on the VK list that 53 was the code for s, but that did not work either.

Sorry for the delay. I'm being held up as Thawte issues a working certificate to resolve the previously mentioned issue with some Cingular-branded phones.

Best.

Eh thats alright.

So do you have any ideas as to what might be happening? As to why the keystroke thing isnt working that is.

I was also looking into ways of setting it up to switch between audio streams within a video and toggling full screen and windowed mode...but maybe its just too much. I'm really mostly interested in the subtitle thing.
