Hello,

I was unable to connect my Treo650, too.
In the "About" section I can read:
Support Information:
No compatible Bluetooth stack/device recognized.

I'm using an AVM Bluetooth USB 2.0 adapter:
http://www.avm.de/en/press/announcements/2004/2004_09_09.php3
and I installed the newest drivers right now.
But Salling Clicker is telling me at the beginning, that my stack software/Widcomm Bluetooth Software is to old.

But I have absolutely no idea, what this message wants to tell me.
Do anyone of you have an idea, what kind of Software I had to actualize?
Can anyone send me a discription or URL, what I have to install or upgrade.

Thank you very much

Could you please explain exactly the error message you're getting? Also, could you check what Bluetooth stack you're using?

Best.

Hello salling,

Salling Clicker doesn't find a device recognized or a compatible bluetooth stack.
And, I think, AVM does not use a stack, or I can't find it in the Software listing of Windows.
I think, they use their own software.

Do you have any idea?
Our company is now using the Treo650 as main telefon and many of my collegues want to see Salling Clicker in use.
And, AVM is a very often used company here in Germany.

What kind of Bluetooth Adapter is working?
Do you have a compatible list?

Hm. Could you please look in the device manager for Bluetooth devices, and check the manufacturer info for the drivers?

Start Menu -> Run -> devmgmt.msc (then click OK)

I currently have no list of Bluetooth dongles that Clicker works with, as the list would be rather huge and almost impossible to manage.

What you need to look for is a dongle that lets you use the Broadcom/Widcomm or Microsoft Bluetooth stack.

Best.

AVM uses their own code... therefore you won't be able to use it.

I asked for AVM Fritz!Blue Support a few days ago...

Does this thing really have its own Bluetooth stack? I'm afraid in that case, unless they quickly achieve world domination, it is unlikely to be supported in the near future.

They do have a lot of customers in Germany...

Btw. Is there any progress on my autodetect topic?

I found a Trick....

Press RightClick on the AVM Tray Icon and click on "Microsoft Bluetooth". This will disable the AVM Drivers and use the Windows ones which work with SallingClicker....

But: The Autodetect does not work either! It would be really handy to get rid of this problem.

Wow. My respect for the AVM people just went up a whole bunch of notches! :-)

With auto-detect, do you mean detecting when the Bluetooth hardware becomes available? I've got that one filed for investigation.

Best.

Hello paresy,

can you explain this a little bit more, please?
