Hi

As a complete novice at Apple Script and a newbie to SC, I was wondering if I should could Apple Automator to write a script.

Once written, what do I do with it then? How do I make it into a .cgz file?

All help appreciated

Unfortunately, it wouldn't be useful at all. The "execution models" for Automator and Clicker are quite different.

Automator: start -> finish

Clicker: handle user events indefinitely

So far, I haven't been able to visualize any way in which Automator could be leveraged to provide plugins for Salling Clicker.

Best.

Thanks, for that.

I had a play and gave up, I couldn't see a way of doing it, but I thought it was just me. :oops:

Thanks for the clarification.

From what I understand, Automator actions are XML, with no real Applescript code to edit. I'm still using Panther for the most part so I can't claim to know this for fact.

But - there is this board, and the super helpful frameworks that Jonas has built right into Clicker for building new widgets.

Use the frameworks for new scripts to start out - then ping this board or bbs.macscripter.net for help assembling app specific scripts to stick into Jonas' handlers.

Hi

I did this in apple script i copied the script activate from the itunes scritps and opened a new basic script in salling clicker and replaced the words i tunes with the name of the automator application you want to run.
It looks like this.

tell application "your automator application hear"
activate
tell application "SEC Helper" to show screen message "your automator application hear"
return
end tell

hope this helped
