Hello

I've just built a headless PC as an MP3 player with clicker to control it. At the moment it takes a couple of minutes after windows has booted before I can use clicker. I've read in previous posts that the delay is there because of problems with the Widcomm BT stack. As I'm using the MS stack is there any way of preventing the startup delay?

Thanks

James

Hi James,

There's a registry addition you can use:

HKCU\Software\Salling Software AB\Salling Clicker\Settings\

Add a DWORD "BootTimeDelay" with the value 1.

Best.

I also found that if you uncheck the option to auto start on windows startup in preferences and you put a shortcut in the "Startup" folder, it'll run almost inmediatly... ;)

Clever! :-)

Please note, however, that the delay was put in for a reason. In testing, on some machines the Widcomm stack would crap out if launched too early (never saw this happen myself, however).

Best.
