Hello...

As topic; I recently bought the CDS-60 desktop stand for this phone, so now I always have it sitted right there. I tried using it as a 'aux display', so when I'm working with other programs, I look there to see the status of the track playing, it's name, etc etc.

Now... as when there is no key pressed from the user, the backlight goes off (this is how the phone works). I noticed that while in remote control it lasts longer than usual; first I though that it would never go off.

1 Problem) The light 'blinks' when it's about to go off, and then comes back on, like if it when off and right there the Clicker would simulate a keystroke or something
2 Problem) After a very long time... it definetly goes permanently off... :(

Anything to do about this Jonas? Could you generate a keystroke or something to keep it alive all the time, without flickering?

Thanks.

Ah. The backlight... (you'll find some posts around here claiming it'll never go off; it does after 10 minutes).

A couple of thoughts:

1. I will consider adding an option to keep the lights on, always. Please note, however, that it's impossible to automatically detect whether the phone is on a stand/charger, so this option would have the potential downside of quickly draining your phone's batteries. I'll have to think about this one.

2. The flicker, unfortunately, cannot be avoided (on the current crop of Sony Ericsson phones) when one tries to make sure the backlight stays on and the keypad isn't locked. It's an artifact of how the Java works in the Sony Ericsson phones. The flicker issue may not be present in future Sony Ericsson phones...

Best.
