Hi,
If I am planning to get Nokia E61, is it being supported by Salling Clicker?

O.

It is currently not supported, but I'm testing it as we speak.

Best.

I try to stay neutral. General comments:

- It's wide

- Nice build quality

- The screen is huge (albeit not as hires as it could have been)

- It's quite thin (compared to, say, the Treo 650 or the old Sony Ericsson P910)

- Same email client as the older models (such as the N70). At least I wasn't able to find any substantial differences. The email client supports IMAP-IDLE (aka "push")

- The S60 Browser (AKA WebCore browser) looks great to begin with, but it's lacking in functionality; it's too simplistic in handling of text forms on web pages.

- The device compares with Sony Ericsson's M600 offering

Not sure what you want to know. There are probably more detailed reviews out there.

Best.

Thanks !

The reason I asked is, that I have
a) Treo 650
b) Nokia N70
c) Motorola V3i

I am stuck with finding pda+phone combination and after Treo I just love keyboard on a device.

(a) is nice, syncs well, but not too good phone. also somewhat big (read too thick) .. it also lacks blackberry connect.
(b) is nice phone with camera, but some issues with my firmware, nice camera, lacks keyboard and calendar is not too great compared to treo..
(c) is very nice phone. no use of calendar though, just phone.

O.

So I was thinking proper headset (Nokia) + E61?
After using E61, would you consider to live with bt headset + E61, if you need calendar/e-mail/corporate exchange ..

And if on top of that I could get Salling Clicker on WIFI as bonus, I would cry from joy (I think :? )

I should add that no single device on the market suits my tastes completely. Having about 50 phones in my "junkyard", I've gotten a bit jaded, I guess. ;-)

I haven't tried the ActiveSync or Blackberry connect features of the E61. I did try it with my Bluetooth headset, and it appeared to work fine.

I managed to get the E61 hooked up with iSync, but now this device is on the junkyard...

As for WiFi support, I hope I'll be able to blow your mind with the next major version.

Cheers.

When doing the Nokia Symbian S60 v3 work, I assume this will be compatible with all the new "E" models, including the E60... right?

Thanks!

I've got the e61, just upgraded from the T-Mobile MDA. It's the best keyboard phone I've had yet. Surprisingly, the sound quality is the best I've ever had on a mobile.

The keyboard buttons took a little getting used to, since they're taller than they are wide, but once adjusted, I'm able to type quickly.

I got it hooked up with iSync using the very affordable Nova Media plugins. I'm sure the next iSync will support it, but in the meantime, this was worth it to me.

Hi,

It is not practical to beta release software for Symbian 9.1, as the app needs to be validated by a test-house and digitally signed to install on your phones...

Best.
