Hi I've installed the Java client on my Nokia N80.
I load the app on my phone and then select "connect"
It says "searching..." and then displays the bluetooth name of my PC. I wait for it to stop searching and select my PC and press "connect"

It then says "Connecting... Finding" with the spinner, then a few moments later it says "Connect failed. Service search error"

And I can't get any further than this.
What on earth does that mean, and how do I get things rolling?

Many thanks,

Meza

P.S. I've got the CLicker app running on my PC with the blue soleil BT program (which works for doing PC Suite file transfers etc)

Hm. Salling Clicker is not compatible with the BlueSoleil stack at this point. It will be in the next version, but what you're using won't work right now.

Best.

Thanks for letting me know Jonas. Can I use an alternative BT driver, what is recommended?

Depends. You may be able to use the Microsoft drivers, but that really depends on the dongle in question. I'd have to ask you to look around in this part of the forums; some people have had successes with it.

Best.

If you have the microsoft driver, it's *not* the same problem. Can you please clarify:

1. Verify that the MS stack is really used and recognized (Salling Clicker -> About -> Support Information)

2. Make sure to follow the guidelines above; wait for the phone to scan all devices in the neighborhood before pressing "Connect"

Aside from this, I would need more details.

Best.
