I downloaded MobileSync102.dmg for a try...
Every time I launch it, I've the following message...

Conduit Initialization Error
*** -[NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:]: attempt to insert nil value

So I checked with anoter version as suggested in your message (MobileSync479.dmg). And... the very same result!!

The form asks for a serial number (which I don't have). Is that a possible solution?

Hi,

Not sure what the problem is, but please try this:

1. Quit MobileSync (if launched)
2. Trash this file:
Library/Preferences/com.salling.MobileSync.plist

Then try again.

Best.

Best.

Thanks. Could you please let me know what version of Office is on your Mac?

Also, I need to have confirmed that the shared library "Microsoft Synchronization" is present in your Office installation, i.e. something along these lines:

/Applications/Microsoft Office ..../Office/

Best.

Hm. Why is the MobileSync disk image still mounted?

Are you running the app from the disk image?! That will probably not work. Please copy the app from the image to the hard drive.

Best.

No... don't worry, I wasn't running the application from the didk image...
The disk image was still sitting on the desk because I dowloaded it several times...
In fact, another part of your previous messages gave me (may be, or was it just luck!) the solution...
I -simply- reinstalled Office...
AND NOW, IT SEEMS IT WORKS!
Thanks
I'll continue my testing and I'll buy it if it fits with my requirements

Sorry t be back so soon....
I had a (quick) view of the software, for about 5 minutes...
So, I prepared my database with a category to be synchronised with my mobile... But, when trying to "Change the Categories" I had only one option...
"All categories". So, the sofware was not awared of my categories list...
I closed Entourage, and restarted again:
1) Entourage could not be launched at once : Error message indicating an error in Microsoft Synchronisation Deamon... or something equivalent.
2) I restarted my computer, and then Entourage works again...
3) But now, I have the same old s...ty message

Conduit Initialization Error
*** -[NSCFDictionary setObject:forKey:]: attempt to insert nil value

... whenever I try and launch MobileSync.
I even try the brand new 480.dmg with the very same result
Back to the future
Timescale indicates I still have few hours to test the software, but I'm not sure I'll be able to do it

This is a good find. Could you please check if there are any suspicious categories in Entourage? Such categories might have empty "" names, or similar.

Best.
