New version posted today.

XHub 1.1 adds a custom interface that lets you choose any image, Quartz composition or even QuickTime movie (!) to be displayed in the background, pick font and font color, etc.

It also adds a slideshow interface, that lets you choose any folder with images to be displayed as a continuous slideshow in the background.

Quite nice.

I just bought Sailing Clicker (great app, btw!) and downloaded Xhub. No problems installing or using so far with the exception of:

1. Sailing Clicker on the Samsung Blackjack works but is a bit funky. Mainly its moving "Back" - this key on the BJ is a hard back button, meaning it will back you out of the application instead of the screen you're on. There is probably some way to remap the key's here. I'm going to post something further under the BJ thread.

2. I see some foreign text on the screen when I make selections? Turning on "Presentation Mode" is the only way I've found to make it go away, but EVERYTHNG goes away then.

Otherwise, so far I really like and will be posting more feedback soon.

How can I assign BACK to either the Right Soft Key or any number key? That's all that needs to be done to make this work

Hi,

Could you please let me know if the "back" key works as expected in the standard iTunes (and other) controllers?

Thanks!

Best.

Hello again,

I must have been seriously deranged when posting the script above.
It will most certainly not do the trick. This one will.

Hello!

XHub has just been updated to 2.1. Its a substantial update, so you may want to check the version history at the site for all the details. Short story is:

XHub Media Center 2.1 adds a wide range of slideshow transition styles and photo effects: black and white, sepia, polaroid, digital, cube, mosaic flip, and more. It also adds an enhanced interface and many new graphical themes, with more than twenty themes to choose from. In addition, users can now design their own themes in Quartz Composer in order to get a truly personalized media center experience.

The new version also brings improved performance, stability and customizability, such as the option to adjust the menu font size and set a custom font for all themes. The integrated iTunes Cover Flow view is now also fully compatible with iTunes 7.3 and later.
