hey,

i've downloaded salling clicker for mac and it's pushing the .cab file to my australian (telstra) samsung blackjack 601.. but i can't find the cab file when i browse the filesystem on my phone... i can see it when i connect the device to my windows laptop and browse the mobile device..
is the installation package only for 607 not 601?

thanks

Strange. You should definitely see the CAB file on your phone once it's been sent. Are you sure you're accepting the file transfer to the phone?

Best.

absolutely.. and it appears on there when i browse the phone via windows.. however i just can't see it from ON the actual phone when i look in the directory..
i take it i should just let it save to My Documents? maybe telstra have locked the phones operating system so i can't install other applications??

whilst on my phone; if i choose "search" from the file explorer menu, and i search for "click" i can see the .cab file.. however the "open" button is greyed out..
does this mean my phone is locked to not open .cab files?

is there another way to get the file to install?

That sounds a bit crazy, but I suppose it's possible that they've prevented installation of 3rd-party applications. Makes no sense, if you ask me, to block out one of the cool things about Windows Mobile.

The other way to install the CAB would be to use Missing Sync from Mark/Space. Not sure if their trial-version lets you install apps on the device.

You might also want to take advantage of Testra's support; asking them why you cannot open CABs on your phone.

Best.
