I'm able to connect using the wifi connection but cannot get the bluetooth connection workin. On the iPAQ, I get the message "Bluetooth: not available."
Is the program compatible with the bluetooth on this device? |

Not sure. Did you check to see if the Bluetooth stack on your iPAQ fulfils the system requirements:
Select this option for Windows Mobile 2003 PocketPC devices using the Widcomm/Broadcom Bluetooth stack (version 1.4.1.60 and greater), such as most Dell Axim and HP iPAQ models. Let us know if your particular model works, so we can add it to the list. Please test before purchasing.
Best.

Not sure if this is the right info, but here are the bluetooth stats I found in my iPAQ:
Bluetooth for Windows CE (BTW-CE)
Version 1.4.1 Build 74
The stack module is:
BtCeStack.dll - Version 1.2.4.1
Does that look right? |

Thanks!
I'm a bit concerned about the "BtCeStack.dll - Version 1.2.4.1" information. That seems to indicate that you're partially on a much older version of the stack on your device. A version with which we cannot work.
Now. As your device model isn't listed as compatible (don't worry), what brand and model did you select in Clicker's device setup assistant?
Here's what you should pick:
Brand: Windows Mobile 2003
Model: Pocket PC Widcomm
If this won't install, it's because your Widcomm DLLs are out of date.
Best.

I tried Pocket PC (Widcomm) and the iPAQ cannot open the application. It can open the Pocket PC app minus the Widcomm though, but then the bluetooth isn't recognized.
Oh well, I guess this model is just a bit too old.
Thanks for all your help though! |

My iPAQ 4150 running Windows Mobile 2003 has Widcomm version 1.4.1.75, but I also get "not a valid Pocket PC application" when running the Widcomm clicker, so you may need to revise your minimum accepted Widcomm stack version?

Sorry, my previous comment about revising the minimum accepted Widcomm stack version was directed at Jonas, to revise the documentation as it seems some who have a higher version than the documented required minimum (1.4.1.60) still can't get it to work. [Update: maybe I was seeing things, but now the required minimum Widcomm version is given as 1.4.2.10 SP5].
But see my latest post which shows how I did indeed upgrade my Widcomm bluetooth stack on iPAQ h4150 to a much later version (1.6.0.170), and now clicker works!

kbosward:
I will keep an eye on the required version. Basically, I'm just putting up there what Broadcom has stated in their SDK documentation. Perhaps I got it wrong; I'll check.
onemoreanimal:
You'd find upgrades on HP's web site.
Best.

It's possible that the requirements are now version 1.5.0 of the stack (Broadcom's versioning is a bit difficult, as they've changed versioning systems).
If my suspicions turn out to be correct, I think I might be able to push back the requirements to what we're stating on the web site.
Stay tuned.
Best.
