hey, thanks for this awesome script, i really dont know what id do without it now.
was just wondering if there was anyway you could incorporate the option to have shuffle on/off.
if you can that would be brilliant, if not keep up the good work!!

Thanks

I haven't had a lot of time to work on this script recently, apologies. I'll plan to include this in the next release (that will also probably include MM3 compatability).

hello!

I get an error when trying to load this script from the phone. The phone sits for a while, then displays "Error - Automation server can't creat...". I'm guessing there's more to the error, but it goes off of the phone screen.
OK, can you check the Clicker logs (right click on the Clicker icon and select Open Script Log), this might give you the full details. Post 'em here and I'll take a look.
Well this is strange. There's nothing in the Clicker log about the mediamonkey script. All that is in there is a few errors from the GOM Remote script I'm running. I'm running the newest versions of the Mediamonkey script and Clicker, and MediaMonkey Gold 2.5.5.998 if that helps any.
got the same error with exactly the same configuration except mediamonky version
(vista business, w810i, salling clicker 3.5)

-> figured out, that it must have something to do with the uac and/or
the user privileges!

try this:

- if there is a running instance of mediamonkey launched as administrator first, the script is starting perfectly by opening a new process as user ( 2 instances running)
(after launch the admin-instance can be closed)

would be nice if you are able to solve the problem...
so i try to make some more experiments!

edit:
(i'm using this script only for play/pause/stop/next/back/rating-function)

i also found out that:

- similar problem happens, using the "Now Playing-gadget" for Vista-sidebar (uses also com to read cover, album, artist, title) - crash+cpu-load
-> also passed by admin-instance!

- the built-in pop up display from mediamonkey 3 does not appear - AND!: the popup from mm3 displays cover, album, artist, title, ...
-> also passed by admin-instance!

so there is defnitly a privileges-problem during the data-transfer
over the com-interface or something like that!

I'm very excited about this script you've done.

It made me change from Winamp to MediaMokey. (I've been a Winamp-only person the last 8 years)

But your script supports so many more usefull features than the Winamp script. And also I've been told Winamp simply doesn't support the same features "out of the box" Hence: I need to learn alot more about scripting.

To make a long story short. I think I love you man!

Thanks.

Best regards

Back Already.

I seem to have a problem.

The "pause Mediamonkey when away" & "on the phone" does not work.

The "Mute system volume when on the phone" does work.

I've tried to locate errors in the script but I don't have any experience in doing so. (I don't understand anything when trying to read the scripts)

Is there anyone else with the same issue who have sorted it out?

Hope to hear from someone.

Best regards

Sorry your elation was so short lived! :-) Please can you look in the Clicker logs (right click on the Clicker icon on the taskbar) and see if there are any MediaMonkey errors? Also let us know what version of MediaMonkey you're running.

Hi Simbo.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I'm using MM 2.5.5.998

This error is the only one in the log.

File Explorer - WshShell.RegRead
[Line: 21 (1)] Unable to open registry key "HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\music" for reading

Thanks again.

Hi Dennis,

I don't think the MediaMonkey event scripts are generating that error; could you try unchecking all Phone Events except the two MediaMonkey ones and see if that fixes it?

Thanks.

I don't know for what reason, but today it started working. I don't remember doing anything to make it work. It just works.

Well. Thanks for trying to help me out Simbo.

(Edit)

Would it be possible to have the option "Send this track to a specific playlist"?

best regards.

Been using this script for a few weeks now! Excellent!
Two features that I would love in the script are missing however: It is the "Play more from same artist" and Play more from same Album", that I use all the time in Mediamonkey. That would be great!

Also a home button on each screen would be nice. Why? Sometime when you are deep down in a menu somewhare, you I would like to change Volume and its a lot of clicking to do that (up to the home screen, many "back"s ). But maybe this is a function in Salling Clicker rather than in your script?

Thanks!

Are you planning to update the script to support Media Monkey 3 which is now officially released?

Thanks,
Dan

Yep, it's on the priority list. Or rather, it will be when I get back to working on this script.

I've posted a new version of the script, 2.0.0 Beta 1, that is compatible with MediaMonkey 3.0. Please test and let me know if you have any issues.

Note that this version is not compatible with MM2.x, so I am leaving the old version of the script available to anyone who isn't updating to MM3. This is only to keep down the complexity of the code; if I get pushback I may combine the two.
