Hello,

I'm tring to find the WM6 pro Cab file so I can tray and install it on my samsung i780. Did not see the device as supported, yet I was hoping that a classic WM6 Pro cab file would run on this pda as well.

Any suggestion on what model to pick in the phone chooser so that (if there is such a thing) the classic wm6 pro cab file is available to send to the device?

Thanks

Hi,

Give this a shot:

Brand: Windows Mobile 6
Model: Classic/Professional

Let us know how it works, okay?

Best.

Hello and thanks for the tip.

I totally missed the WM6 options under brand/model. Thanks for pointing it out.

The classic WM6 Pro client works... but with a catch.

The samsung i780 does have a touchscreen but no four way d-pad. Instead it has this very cool optical trackpad that controls the mouse pointer. While the basic functions of clicker work, I can't use the dpad functions. None of the phones keys or the keys in the qwerty keyboard seem to replace these functions.

So in essence it works but some core functions are missing due to the nonexistent dpad.

If some customisation were done to use the phones's trackpad, it would be an amazing experience to use clicker to control the mouse.

Hope this helps.

Quick update... I recently found out that the optical trackpad on the i780 can also be configured to duplicate the functions of a d-pad.

When you go into the finger mouse settings and set the trackpad as a d-pad instead of mouse, salling clicker functions without a hitch. Al features, nothing missing.

So I think you can safely put the i780 on the compatible devices list.
