I successfully synced playlists to my Nokia E71. I can see the individual songs but I don't see the *playlists* . ie I can't select to play a playlist like I can on itunes or on an ipod. The playlists on my phone are just the pre-defined 'smart' Nokia playlists, most/recently played and recently added.

Can Salling Media Sync transfer the songs from playlists and recreate those playlists on your phone?

Otherwise it's 'just' functioning as a mass storage transfer...

Have I misunderstood what the software can do?

Many thanks in advance.

You should definitely see the playlists on your phone.

Perhaps your E71 requires you to update its library (from the menu on the Music player's main screen)?

Best.

My thanks, Jonas, for your speedy reply.

I forgot to mention that I did do the 'refresh' on the music player and it found the new tracks.

When I open music player, it shows the number of tracks in music and podcasts. Clicking on 'music' shows:

- all songs
- playlists
- artists
- albums
- genres
-composers

And when I click on Playlists, it only shows most / recently played and renently added. Where should I expect to see the itunes playlists? Under playlists, right?

As I said, I can see the actual tracks under any of the above criteria (genre, album etc) but nowhere the name of the itunes playlist.

Thanks in advance for your help.

They should be under Playlists, yes.

Did you try syncing just a small playlist? I know the E71 does have issues with playlists reaching 400 or so items. Nothing I can do about it, unfortunately.

Best.

THanks Jonas, it now works. I tried to sync 1 playlist but the name didn't appear, so I synced 2 playlists and can see both now.

I had originally tried syncing dozens of playlists (ca 5GB)but it seemed to die at the end when syncing smart playlists.

So for it to work do I have to limit the number of tracks to 400? Or can I sync 400, then sync another 400 (if I buy the full version :) ), and another 400 etc...?

Many thanks

I bought the premium version and I am very impressed. It syncs perfectly and subsequent syncs only copy over new material. Removing tracks is also very fast.

This is a great product. Well done. I don't need my ipod any longer, I now have the same functionality on my phone.
