After reading through the forum, I am somewhat confused. And am seeking a simple answer.

Does Clicker work on Android phones :?:

Even a TCP/IP-only version would be much appreciated. We could wait for Bluetooth support.

I'm the new owner of a Nexus One. I'd be happy to offer whatever assistance I can in getting a clicker client going for android.

Simon, please see my February 25th post here for some ideas on how you might help:

Although having looked at it some more, I now think that MIDP RUNNER for Android might be a dead project. It's a very cool idea (running MIDP applications on Android), but I don't know how well it works in practice.

Another observation on the merits of supporting a Wifi client on Android: it is not too difficult to setup a local access point (say, if you're on the road making a presentation for which you'd like to use Clicker) using the power of either your Android phone or a Windows7 computer, if you have one (sorry, I know that this is the Mac forum).

[list]On Android, you could use PDANet to use your Android as a wireless-access-point. Then your Android Clicker app could find your Mac or PC, once the desktop machine has been configured to connect to that wireless access point.

On Windows7, you can use the free Connectify application to turn your Windows 7 computer into a wireless access point. I've used this approach successfully, even to stream a movie through the Windows 7 computer to another nearby computer.[/list:u]
