On my N97, the QWERTY keyboard outputs odd characters:
Backspace = c
a = x
s = x
d = x
f = x
g = x
h = #
j = *
etc.
Basically, the same issue as in the previous version :(

No the new script won't even start anymore.
When I click, I will go back to the main menu of the connected PC oh and the back button flashes. Doesn;t that have to do with an simple syntax error (I don't even know the languages by heart... so that includes a syntax librairy :P)
Grtz,
Niels

Hihi, no, I was just checking the source code when I did not recognized the the path... So I changed it... sorry for that the earlier reply :oops: :oops: :oops:
Now I have the same error as above...:
All menu options work like a charm! I tested them almost all... But not every F key... F1 worked, think thats enough also all other menus I tested one. All work...
mouse pointer, works
Key pad not....
All alphabetical (capital and small) give an "x"
All numbers and the "*" and "#" work perfectly
All symbols, also an x.
(on a Sony Ericsson P990i (dutch))

This is the script I've been looking for. Great job on it.
I own the palm centro and have been trying to do the following configuration. (see the attached pic)
Can you please help?
Thanks in advance.

hey modawg,
I think I could make that work. Did you already try my original script? does the keyboard generally work? It should.
As for the other keys, I suppose with "I want = s" you mean you want enter?
A few additions should be enough. I'll start working on it.

Your 1.6 update is still not working on the N97 :(

That would be great. The other keys work. The calendar and mail key respectively register as c and * and the phone/f key takes you to the button menu. If the c and * could be edited to be a sound volume up and down, this script would be a one stop shop for lazy centro users such as myself. Yes, s=*enter*
As is, however, this script is still my favorite. Thanks for taking the initiative!

Here is the updated script. Obviously, I can't test it myself, and I especially have doubts about the volume keys, but you should just try them out. On a side note, does the phone have touch screen? If not, you won't be able to access the function menu now..

The phone has a touch screen. Reassigning the enter key to the keyboard was a success, however there are a few problems.
1. Screen: Pressing the "menu" icon (the icon to the left of the "question mark" icon) does nothing. Therefore, I am not able to access the "button menu".
2. Keyboard: Pressing the center "palm" and "phone" keys (the ones I requested reassigning to right click and left click mouse gestures) do nothing.
This may be helpful: The "Mouse Pointing" script does what I want as far as pressing the "palm" and "phone" keys. In other words, when I run the "Mouse Pointing" script, pressing the "palm" key registers as a left click, and pressing the "phone" key registers as a right click.

I've implemented part of the Mouse Pointing script into this one, I see no reason why the mouse buttons shouldn't work now. As far as the button menu is concerned, there is nothing I can do about that - the button menu has exactly the same output ("f") as your phone key, so the script can in no way distinguish the one from the other. I advise you to choose another button to use as right mouse key. I've also tried to make the volume buttons work, see how that goes.
