I am still having problems with my Tungsten T3 and
getting that Bluetooth error. the only temporary fix
is a restart and then it only connects a few times
before giving me the error again. Please somebody
help, I want my clicker, I want to be lazy too LOL.

Troy,

So you can connect a couple of times after computer reboot. Hm. How do
you disconnect? Not that it should matter, but I've been completely
unable to repro this problem.

Best,
Jonas

Troy,

Could you please do some structured testing of this? I'd like to
eliminate the "seems to" part of your description. ;-) Also, please
send this report directly to me, as I'm sure this will be bouncing back
and forth a couple of times.

First set of tests:
1. Start freshly your Palm and your Mac (reset your Palm using the
stylus in the back). If possible, and you're comfortable with this,
perform a hard reset so we can exclude any possibility of corruption on
the Palm end (take a backup first, of course).
2. Now, connect and disconnect
3. Repeat step 2 until you get stuck; count the number of times, and
any oddities

Again, send this report directly to me. If you're not doing a hard
reset to clean out your Palm, let me know what apps you have on it that
you may have installed; either from the web or from Palm's companion
CD. Also, I'd like to know if you've set up Palm Desktop to synchronize
over Bluetooth or not. If not, make sure the BT option is not on in the
Hotsync Mgr.

Best,
Jonas

PostPosted: Thu Feb 12, 2004 3:24 pm    Post subject: OT: how does the sync work? Programmers question Reply with quote

Hi Jonas,

I'm think about writing a sync for our mail servers calendar and address
book with Entourage. I try to find out what the best way is.

How do you do it with MobilSync (if it is not a secret)? Do you use
Applescript or is there an API for the Handheld Sync from MS?

Thanks,

Gunnar

There is an API for Entourage, but I am not at liberty to talk about it.

Best,
Jonas
