Hello,

I am trying to write a script for Sibelius. I need the virtual keycodes for the numeric
keypad, or numeric keypad with numlock on. (Sibelius requires use of the numeric keypad,
normal number inputs wont work) Anyway, I have not found these values in any of the
previous posts. Help, please. A Sibelius script will be especially useful for powerbook users
who don't have a built in numpad. Also, why is this info so darned hard to find? Thanks.

Thanks,
I was aware of this list actually, but it does not have any information regarding the
numeric keypad, or the function key which would activate the numeric keypad on a
powerbook. The numeric keypad values are necessary to operate Sibelius and I believe Pro
Tools among others. (again, the normal number set will not work) Has anyone solved this
problem or know someone who has solved it? Thanks.

Under Jaguar, there used to be a system file that contained keycodes. I
cannot find it under Panther, however. Also, I am not sure the num-lock
keycode will be useful in simulating the numpad on laptops (the virtual
keycode handling is at such a low level). However, it may be possible
to feed the codes for a "real" keypad, if only we could find these.

Thanks.

If someone has a copy of Codewarrior around, there should be a header
file "PP_KeyCodes.h" in PowerPlant that may contain useful information.

Thanks.

I used a program called UI Browser to find out the keycodes. It allows you to send
keycodes to every application and shows the keycodes while the keys are pressed.

I don't know if these will actually work though...

0 = 82
1 = 83
2 = 84
3 = 85
4 = 86
5 = 87
6 = 88
7 = 89
8 = 91
9 = 92
, = 65
+ = 69
- = 78
* = 67
/ = 75
numlock = 71
