PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we have the old menu icon back? On my
15" screen this
new icon is a real space hog, and I need all the menu space I can get!
(perhaps we should also petition Apple to make the spacing between
icons adjustable...)

Kinda agree with you there. I've noticed that you can replace the icons in the SEC helper
package with icons of your own design, or from a previous version of Clicker. I've used the
'deviceT61x.tif' from version 2.0.1 and made it grayscale as well.

Thanks, Joris, I was trying to figure out how to do that but couldn't locate the icons. I've
stupidly trashed my copy of 2.0.1 however. Does anyone have a copy of the 2.0.1 installer?
I'm tempted to retrograde as I've been having some issues with my computer since
installing 2.1 (won't wake from sleep, and my first ever kernel panic!).

Hello!

There's no reason why Clicker would provoke a kernel panic, as there
are no kernel components in it. Also, not being able to wake from sleep
doesn't sound like something it'd be responsible for either.

If you really want to downgrade, the bits are still on the server. add
"201" to the download URL.

As for the icons, you need to open the prefPane bundle. Inside of its
Resources folder, you'll find "SEC Helper". Open this bundle too
(again, using Finder's context menu). Inside its Resources folder,
you'll find the file you ned to replace.

Best,
Jonas

Thanks for your feedback, Jonas. I've found the menu bar tiff. The kernel panic happened
just after I'd installed 2.1 and had continued working (in FileMaker, I seem to remember)
without restarting or logging out. Could it be something about the installer?

I don't think so. Strictly speaking, you really cannot blame normal
apps for kernel panics, as they don't have the powers to cause them. If
anything, I'd look into what Bluetooth adapter you have, as the adapter
driver (which is provided by Apple) would be something that could cause
a KP.

Of course, sometimes KPs happen for reasons we don't know, and while
blaming the last installed app makes some sense, it's not always the
culprit.

Best,
Jonas

There is a known bug in OS X where a kernel panic happens - sometimes -=20
when a network cable is inserted/removed buring boot/wake-fom-sleep.

It's hard to reproduce, as it happens sporadic. Could this be it?
