I love this application. However, it crashed two machines. Now I did
something I probably shouldn't, so I'll explain.
Everything works great, the menu is published to my phone. I leave
work. I pull the bluetooth adapter, and go home. At home I pul into my
15" flat panel iMac and do my thing. Works great. Later, my phone
crashes (how about that!) I pull the battery. my iMac does the 'scroll
crash' (reboot now message in 6 languages). I do so.

Now, I'm not pointing the finger directly at this clicker program as
the culprit, but these machines never crash, and it was the only new
thing I added yesterday.
Fine I won't pull the adapter, but I should be able to.
Any ideas? Can Bluetooth crash a machine?

Bluetooth can crash the machine, if there are errors in the kernel-side
of the Bluetooth stack. Obviously, I have no code running there so
Clicker shouldn't be the culprit. Still, this is obviously a problem.

May I ask what kind of adapter you have?

Hi,

By this you mean you get all these black lines with white writing
that ends with a waiting for server line? That would be a "kernel
panic" Congratulations! kernel Panics are a rare thing and get you
brownie points.

>Can Bluetooth crash a machine?

It shouldn't. Which OS version are you using? If you are using 10.2,
did you install it over 10.1 or did you zap the hard drive first?

Best regards,

Saulo

No. The System catches the errors, and puts a 50% opacity gray over
lay, and then in the middle basically says "Oops, you crashed. Please
reboot by holding down the power key", in six or so languages. I
haven't kernal panic'd in a while.

I'm on 10.2.4. I did install it over 10.1
