Just arrived, all freshly baked (software update pref pane)

"Bluetooth 1.5 for Mac OS X provides support for Bluetooth enabled
headsets and printers.

NOTE: Headsets must support the Bluetooth headset profile and
printers must support the
Bluetooth HCRP profile. In order to configure and use a Bluetooth
headset, the Bluetooth
module must have the latest Bluetooth firmware from the Bluetooth
Firmware Updater
application version 1.0.2 or later (http://www.inf
o.apple.com/usen/bluetooth/).

For information about using Bluetooth 1.5 or about making your
Macintosh Bluetooth-
enabled, visit the Apple website at http://www.apple.com/bluetooth/.
"

it might even allow for the use of both the headset on the phone and
Clicker? Can't test as I have no BT headset...

OK. I have to ask. How did you get this working?

I've updated both bluetooth and iChat, but I can't get my Jabra headset
to work. I can pair the headset by going to the devices section of
bluetooth preferences and choosing "Pair New Device," but the BT2000 is
unusable after pairing; nothing sees it: not the audio preferences
panel, not iChat.

I can choose "Set Up New Device" (instead of Pair), but there is no
'headset' choice from the bluetooth assistant, though there is a
'printer' choice.

What am I doing wrong?

good reading here -
http://www.mobilewhack.com/networking/bluetooth/
bluetooth_headset_support_for_mac_os_x.html

may need to manually update your bluetooth firmware as well. I did not
though and used software update on bluetooth and manually updated icav.

once it was paired I was able to select my headset in the audio prefs
as the source for input. Once i heard the beep in my ear and saw the
levels tracking I tried ichatav and it worked!

That did the trick. Thanks.

Does your headset still work with your phone (I assume that's why you
had it in the first place)? Is it seamless, or did you have to re-pair
the devices?

Have not had a chance to try working between the two yet... so I have
no idea. Hope so!
