I'm getting a fair number of requests for support for these phones. Unfortunately, they cannot be supported at this time.
The only condition under which these phones could potentially be supported is if Motorola provides a major firmware update, which I doubt they'll do.
I'm sorry about this situation, as I'd like to support as many devices as possible, but hope that this post will reduce the number of support emails asking for if and when the V600/V710/V3/ROKR will be supported.
Best,
Jonas

How about Moto RAZR V3? Any possibility for this new handset? Or is it the same problem as with V600?
Would be great to have it work! |

I suspect it's the same deal.

I thought that the RAZR V3 was "the next generation" of Motorola mobile phones. Did they not totally revamp their hardware and software?
I seem to remember watching Moto's press conference when they first introduced their new mobile line, including the V3, and I'm pretty sure that Apple's putting iTunes on the phone. Why would Clicker be more difficult? |

Well. Having Motorola engineers in my bedroom too would make it easy to support their phones... Got any for me? Female, please. ;-)
Until Motorola cares to implement certain industry standards, their phones cannot be supported. The irony is that Moto chairs the group setting the standard (JSR-82). What gives?

PS. The A925 and A1000 are, of course, supported.

i had a t-637 with cingular.
worked great with salling clicker.
switched to t-mobile as my girlfriend has that network.
i was looking at the phones they had on amazon.com (great rebates).
was choosing between the n-gage qd and the v600.
i picked the v600 but i shouldn't have...
even though the n-gage form factor is silly and it looks like something a teenager would use i think i regret not getting it.
it is MUCH better supported :/
i checked with apple.com to confirm isync computability... the v600 seems to sync.
i forgot to check your site!
doh!!!
... are you sure you can't get the v600 working?

Until I report otherwise, I'm afraid it goes for all Moto models except the A920/A925/A1000.

Glad to hear it. The QD seems, to me, much better than the old n-gage.

Will the clicker software work on the e398?
Any chances that clicker will somehow be able to work with it in future? |

Just bought a Motorola V551. I like the phone - nice form factor, decent UI - but the Mac support is disappointing after my old SE T68i. However, according to Apple's site the V551 and other Motorola phones will get iSync support in Tiger. Might that help with Clicker support as well?
If not, any recommendations for a not-too-expensive replacement (I have 30 days to return) on Cingular, ideally a flip phone? |

I'm afraid the alleged iSync support won't help. The problem is that the phone lacks the APIs required to make Salling Clicker work. Sorry.
Best.
