Sync Fails on Replacement T616

OK, I read the FAQ and the on-line help, but I still have the problem.

I successfully used MobileSync a few times over the past year. My Sony Ericson T616 froze, so I put my SIM card in a back-up phone. I turned on Bluetooth in the phone. I "found" my desktop Mac on the phone. I went to the bluetoothe control panel on my desktop Mac and "found" my phone. I launch MobileSync and tried to sync my contacts. I get to the progress bar that says "Initializing" and it stays there. I don't see any sign of activity on my phone either.

I don't have a WiFi card, so that's not causing interference.

I don't have any contacts in my phone's address book, so I don't have a corrupt contact.

I would appreciate any ideas, comments, or suggestions. Thank you in advance.

I got my original phone working again. I'll try that update if my phone freezes again and I have to go back to my replacement phone. Thanks.
