Hi,

Haven't bought Salling Clicker yet(!) - still waiting for my K700i,
but I'm hoping to use the phone as a remote for my
downstairs iTunes/DVD/VLC system.

Trouble is, my G4 server is actually located up in the atic and was wondering if it is possible to use an Ethernet to Bluetooth adapter with the software...? (I'd rather not use a bluetooth adapter connected to the G4 as I want to use the remote from downstairs mainly and I can't see the signal travelling through 3 floors and a very thick wall, even with a class 1 product)

There's an ethernet point in the lounge and the following products would be perfect for the job:

D-Link's DBT-900AP (UK only it seems):

and Axis's 9010:

Are there compatibility issues here?

Cheers,
Simon

Hello!

None of these products would work for you. We're working on extending the range, but don't buy these things.

Best.

Yes, that's a good idea.. but I have now gone and relocated the server under the stairs!

Although, I'm very tempted in getting a Mac Mini and eyeTV for the lounge and moving my "media hub" into that room.. no more noisy G4 400 :-)

Cheers for the advise,

Simon
