Howdy,

I just got me a (wonderful) K700i. The only problem I have is that it confuses my desktop and laptop computer.

When I pair it with my PowerMac, it works fine. If I then pair it with my iBook, it wants to add my iBook as "PowerMac", replacing my PowerMac in my device list.

The same story goes vice versa. If I first pair my iBook, then my PowerMac, my PowerMac will show up as "iBook", replacing the iBook in the device list.

This results in me having to re-'pair' my K700i with each of my computers everytime I want to use it.

This is caused simply by the fact that one dongle has one MAC-address and will thus be seen as one computer by your phone.

Workaround:

I've duplicated the pairing with my telephone,
so that my iBook uses the same pairing code
as my G4 when it talks to my K700i handset.

I did this by coping /var/root/Library/Preferences/blued.plist
from my G4 to my iBook, to the same location.

My phone now sees these two computers as one,
so I don't have to remove and pair my phone everytime.
