|
|
Just purchased Salling Clicker and loaded on my Palm TX. It works great! I'm using it via Wi-Fi (though I may also try bluetooth later). I envision using it for a PowerPoint remote during presentations.
Is there a way to scroll the notes in powerpoint on the Palm? I'm using a Palm TX and PPT 2003 and many of my slides have more notes than disply on the palm.
Also, can the font size for the notes be adjusted? |

At this time, you can not view more of the slide notes. Scrolling in that particular view isn't a great idea as up/down are used for switching slides.
What I can do, is make one button pop up a scrollable text view that shows the whole (well, up to some limit) note.
What do you think?
As for the notes. What size would you like?
Best.

You certainly do keep your promise of "ridiculously fast" response time. A scrollable text view would be AWESOME for my purposes. As far as the font size, I was looking at that as an alternative way of getting more text into the window - the current font is fine, the scrollable text would be a better alternative. |

Great. I've filed this for a suggested improvement. Cannot promise what version it'll be though, but we're talking 3.0.1 or 3.0.2, I think.
Best.

I'll definitely look forward to new releases. Is there a way to sign up for notification of new releases? |

You can subscribe to this RSS feed:

Not sure what browser you're on, but I think FireFox, as well as google's "Bar" lets you subscribe to feeds.
Best.

I've just downloaded trial - I'd suggest you change the up down to scroll notes and just have the left and right 5-way buttons for next and previous slides.

I just downloaded and installed version 3.0.01.309
Maybe I'm missing something, but I don't see any change in the way notes are handled. Is there a trick to scrolling the notes? I'm using a Palm TX. |

So then, just for my curiosity, in the list of features for version 309:
What's new in Salling Clicker 3.0.1 (v309)?
- Improvements to BSPlayer controller;
- Improved PowerPoint file browser; Now remembers the last browsed directory, and should work better on non-English systems.
- Fixed issue with BSPlayer Open Movie and removable drives;
- Added ability in PPT to view the full notes;
what does "added ability in PPT to view the full notes" mean? |

Ah yes. This requires pressing a key on your device that is probably not available on the TX you have.
The next build will have a menu option for it.

Thanks for the clarification. I would agree with Paperman, that integrating the note scrolling into the 5-way button would be very handy. Left-Right for advancing the slides and up-down for scrolling notes. What would be the chance of seeing this option? |

The chances are nil for 3.0.1 as it'd require rather substantial re-plumbing of code on all mobile platforms.
Cheers.
