looks like there were scripts written for old version of Salling Clicker, Sony Ericcson Clicker. Also an older version of iView MMP:

http://www.superknizzy.com/sec/iview/iView_scripts.html

What I'd do is take the powerpoint script and adapt it. Shouldn't be too hard. Just open the iView dictionary in script edtior and substitute the commands you can use with commands in that dictionary such as "next slide" and "previous slide".

they have a scripting forum too in case you run into trouble:

http://www.iview-multimedia.com//forum/viewforum.php?f=3&sid=ef95ca0058852a257e09710401f66a21

I gave it a quick try to control the slide show but no luck.

There is a slide show class but no command to start it. The "run slide show window 1" command just opens a new catalog window in IVMP 3.

Looks like others on their forum have run into a problem too on that without a reply:

http://www.iview-multimedia.com//forum/viewtopic.php?t=1431&highlight=slide+show

So either get active in their forum and get an answer how to fix it or get them to fix it in an update.

You could also probably use GUI access scripting.

OK I'm THAT bored. Not bored enough to write an entire controller, especially given the BAD scripting dictionary of iView Media Pro. (Ironic, given the fact that it's published by a company that if I'm not mistaken used to be called Script Software.

But, here's some more info for you.

--- run slide show using GUI scripting:

[code:1]
tell application "System Events"
tell process "iView MediaPro"
tell menu bar 1
tell menu bar item "make"
tell menu 1
click menu item "Run Slide Show"
end tell
end tell
end tell
end tell
end tell
[/code:1]

Other working commands:

set controller visible to true
set controller visible to false
previous slide
next slide

Problems:

no way to script exit to slide show (probably have to use virtual keycodes. GUI access keystroke command to start slide show did not work:

[code:1]
tell application "System Events"
tell process "iView MediaPro"
keystroke "R" using command down
end tell
end tell[/code:1]

You might be able to use Salling's command for ESC to stop:

simulate keyboard virtual keycode 37

No way to pause, I don't think. For example, this did not work:

set mode of slide show to paused

Couldn't manage to do anything with the other properties of the slide show class, or actually refer to it at all. The class is probably messed up on their end. I recommend you write to their support and show them this thread.

slide show?n
properties
running (boolean) : whether the slide show is running
mode (timed/paused/interactive) : which mode the slide show is running in
controller visible (boolean) : whether the slide show controller is visible

I posted a new thread with a mostly working slideshow controller.

Check the new threads.
