Hi
I have successfull implemented a remote control for my
USB Socket from Gembird
http://www.gmb-online.nl/main.asp?mode=item&N=2755

All what you have to do is made a scricpt wich call the following (EXAMPLE)

For switch ON a Socket:
"C:\Program Files\Gembird\Power Manager 2\pm2.exe" -on -SIS-PM -Socket1

For switch OFF a Socket:
"C:\Program Files\Gembird\Power Manager 2\pm2.exe" -off -SIS-PM -Socket1

It works great and its very usefull

Greatings
Ralf

There you go! Some ideas:

1. How about pulling up the exe's path from the registry? Then it'll work on PCs that aren't set up for English.

2. Could you post the full script bundle here? That'd make it easier for others to just download and enjoy.

Cheers.

Hi Jonas
1:Good Idea: have you an example how can i access an registry key with your scripting engine?

2:one problem is: the USB Socket Software gives no possibility to get the names of the sockets so that each user must adapt the script for his own enviroment :-(

Check the BSPlayer script in 3.0.1 beta for a registry example. It's standard JScript fair (nothing Clicker-specific about it)

Best.
