Help with laptop to handheld over wifi connection

Hello all,

I really love this software. Have it installed on a Palm Tungsten C and it works great over my wireless network. Currently I am trying to figure out how to connect to my laptop via an ad hoc network to control powerpoint when giving presentations. The laptop is a Dell Inspiron 700. Any tips would be much appreciated.

Have you set up an ad-hoc network already? That'd be the first step, I think.
