Hello,

I just started to write new scripts for SC with my MacMini and my SE K750i as remote. Everything is fine althoug its a little bit cumbersome because one has to dig for information deep within forums and apple script comments

One anyoing thing is this autorefresh feature of a keypad widgets. It drains the battery of my K750 and I simply dont want it!

Setting the "repeattimer" value to zero has no effect, same as commenting out the "update keypad" routine.

Any solution? Thanks, Helge

Hi,

You're misunderstanding things.

The screensaver/keylock prevention has nothing to do with keypad updates. Clicker will only send new data to the device if the data has changed. Which, presumably, you made sure doesn't happen.

The backlight/keylock prevention is done entirely on the phone-end. It is done because the first keystroke would otherwise be "eaten" by the screensaver. This is incredibly irritating; believe me.

The backlight/keylock will enable after 10 minutes of inactivity, however.

In short, you can stop looking for a solution to this in your script. ;-)

Best.

yep, nothing is send to the K750, although I will explore this nice feature of status messages.

Alright  I never waited that long during testing. Good to know

Thanks, Helge

(There will be more questions to come... )
