|
|
Note: I am no longer updating this script; dreadlox has taken it over and developed it much further. Please follow this link to get the latest greatest version. Thanks!
I've written a script to control MediaMonkey from Salling Clicker. This script...
- Displays details on the currently played song (including album art)
- Provides standard media controls (play, pause, next, previous, volume...)
- Provides a list of all songs in the current songlist and allows you to access any song directly
- Provides the facility to browse/search for songs to add to your playlist, by title, artist, album etc
- Supports the rating of songs via the keypad
- Provides phone events to pause MM when on the phone or away
The versions below are no longer supported
| Description: |
| v2.0.0 Beta 1 - for MediaMonkey 3.x only (unsupported) |

MediaMonkey looks very capable, in scripting terms. Thanks for your contribution!
Best.

| I've posted a new version (1.0.1) with bug fixes, better navigation and some new functionality.

Hi simbo,
thanks for the script. It's working great and is already very advanced. No flaws so far just one little issue and one suggestion.
1.) a seperate "Close MediaMonkey" or "Exit" entry - so that MM doesn't shutdown if you navigate to the main menu of SC or if you switch off the device running the client. As pretty as it is (Album Art, etc.), running the device the whole time with WiFi turned on, drains the battery alot. That entry for closing MM could be similar to one in the MPC Script for MediaPlayer Classic.
2.) the ability to rate a song from the client would be great!
so far that's what I could think of, will post more if you don't mind.

Apologies, I haven't spending any time on this recently (or checking this forum for that matter  ). I'm planning on a new release shortly.

Sounds like a useful feature, I'll look into it.

I saw somebody else asking for the same thing, consider it done.

OK I've posted a BETA version (i.e. I think it does the trick) that provides the two new pieces of functionality:-
- Songs can be rated using keys 1-5 on your mobile. Clicker doesn't support half-ratings.
- Two new scripts, to start and close MediaMonkey are available. Starting MM before using the Remote script will ensure MM is left open even if you come out of Clicker.
I might be working on some other improvements in the near future, but please let me know how you get on with this one.

HI Simbo,
Thanks. your continuing work is much appreciated. I gave it a whirl and found that the rating doesn't work - on my ipaq 6900, and my buddy's Treo. both of these devices do not have dedicated number keys.
I can put the device in digit mode and still the rating does not get applied.
Any ideas?

I really dig MedaiMonkey, and this is a great script - thanks for all your work on this. I was wondering if it is possible with the script to add a phone event to "pause MM while away"... it doesn't seem to work for me.
Thanks
Mel

Done, check out v1.0.2 (Beta 2) I've just posted. I've tested to the best of my ability, but please let me know if you run into any issues.
