It seems quite unstable to me. Almost daily I have to reestablish the contact manually between my phone and Mac. The connection is simply lost. Sometimes I just have to click on reconnect. Sometimes I have to turn off and on again bluetooth on the phone. Sometimes I turn the phone off and on again. Sometimes I get error messages when connecting. Sometimes it just hangs. Clicker is running on the Mac and trying to connect when I try this. It is set to reconnect every 15 seconds and never time-out.
Occasionally the Salling Clicker Helper process hangs on the Mac too. When I move the mouse cursor over the menu item I get the spinning beach ball and in clicker preferences I see "Waiting for helper app...". Then I have to kill it using Activity Monitor. A couple of times in the past it has brought my whole machine down when I tried to kill it but that hasn't happened for a while. But when I kill it I seem unable to restart it so I have to restart the machine to get clicker functionality back.
Latest version of Sallling and OS X. Not sure if I have the latest firmware version on the phone. Probably not as I haven't upgraded since I got it 1,5 years ago. Don't know how to do it. Not possible on a Mac I guess. Do you know if this is needed for better stability?
There is another phone connected to the Mac most of the time via bluetooth and a bluetooth headset connected to the P910i. I also have a wireless network. Could there be interference? |
