ok. I know this is not 100% relevent to this section, but I figure a lot of S.E users visit here.
I have an S.E K800i. I use Clicker for my media at home, but I'd also like to set up my built-in remote to work properly.
I have figured out that the remote works by using the PC's hotkey settings.
WMP works pretty well with the built-in remote, so I stole the hotkeys from there and figured this out for "Media Player Remote":
Pressing this phone key uses this PC hotkey set
...............1...........................CTRL+SHIFT+B
...............2...........................CTRL+P
...............3...........................CTRL+SHIFT+F
...............4...........................CTRL+B
...............5...........................CTRL+S
...............6...........................CTRL+F
And of-course, the left soft-key is left-click, the right soft-key is right-click and the joystick moves the cursor.
...However, what soft keys are triggerred on the PC when you press 7,volume-up and volume-down on the phone?
Also, do the buttons 8,9,0,#,*,"take picture", or "access music" do anything in this mode?
Also, what are the equivilent buttons to the table above for Presenter?
...Also (sorry for piling all this up!), what do the * and 0 buttons in Desktop mode do? They're labelled "1" and "2" respectively.
Thanks to anyone who helps with this! |

if i remember correctly, i found that a lot of the softkey's on the SE bluetooth remote interfaces werent programmed. there is a program made by SE that will allow you to make your own remote control interface that can be used on the phone, and allows you to create any kind of keycode mapping that you want.
i originally used this software, reprogramming it for my itunes, then i found clicker. the main restriction with the SE remote ontrol is that it requires that the program be on top in order for it to work. this is where the main benefit of the clicker comes in. especially with some of the scriptsa that there are it makes it perfect.
tbh i would just stp using the SE remote stuff unless you have a really pressing need to use this functionality. if so then go to the SE developers website and you can get he bluetooth remote control software! |
