Using Bluesoleil 5.0.5.178

Salling clicker doesn't see my device. Under support information:

Bluesoleil Bluetooth (1, 6, 0, 0): No device present

Vista has been very finicky with my bluetooth device. When I originally installed v5, the usb bluetooth driver didn't work and the thing wasn't detected by bluesoleil. To get it working, I installed version 3.2.2.8 of Bluesoleil, and things worked fine. Tried that with salling clicker and it didn't even detect bluesoleil. Then I installed bluesoleil v5 over top of v3, and now salling clicker recognizes the bluetooth stack, but still doesn't detect the device.

Any suggestions?

I suggest sticking to the built-in Microsoft stack in Vista (or version 6 of the Broadcom stack for Vista), at least until I've had a chance to test and modify our software for version 5 of BlueSoleil.

Best.

I've tried the broadcomm driver. It doesn't detect my bluetooth device and won't even let me install. Window's doesn't detect it either. Bluesoleil provides the only driver that works and detects the device.

you mentioned version 5 specifiically. With Bluesoleil 3.2 on Vista, salling clicker doesn't even see the bluetooth stack.

Hi Mickles, I had exactly the same problem as you. Mine is working now. i Uninstalled all traces of Bluesoliel then restarted, then installed the 3.2.2 VOIP version and restarted again. I then configured Salling Clicker to "Run as Administrator" - (done by right clicking on Salling Clicker .exe in its folder in "Program Files", selecting Properties, and checking "run as administrator" in the "Compatibility" tab). Vista will kick up a fuss everytime you start up the machine with "Certain program were blocked" but right click the icon in the taskbar and select "Run Blocked Program >".

Then I made sure both devices were paired and bluetooth was on and configured my E65 with a recognisable bluetooth. and it worked for me.

Hope this works for you.
