Okay folks,

Salling Media Sync works well with my Sony Ericsson K660i but there are a couple of things that don't work as I would like it to and prevent me from buying the software and make me continue to carry the iPod as a media device.
Transfer speed is veeeery slow. I know that transfer time after the frist time would get faster if I bought the software, because it wouldn't sync all the files every time I connect the device. But that's not the issue. The transfer speed in terms of MB/s are slow... in fact it's not MBs at all, it's more like 350KB/s. It takes ages for a file to transfer. Nothing I'd do before leaving the house in the morning.[/list:u]
Podcasts don't show as listened in iTunes when I listened to them on my mobile. Maybe this will change. But do I really have to tell iTunes that I listened to a podcast manually? I hope this will be included in one of the future updates.[/list:u]

Okay I know that my wishes might be a little special. But the two points I mentioned above really are important to me. I usually only listen to podcasts and update my iPod in the morning when I'm in a hurry. So I don't really have time to wait for the slow transfer and would like to only copy the podcasts I haven't listened to yet. In fact maybe I should really buy one of these overpriced and unstable iPhones. Maybe not in the next month. I will check back on this website before I do so to be sure that the Salling Media Sync hasn't become a little more of what I'd like it to be.

I'm sure most people will find this software to be very good. It really is. And I thank the team of Salling Software to throw one more great app out there that makes Macs more usable with other devices.

I wish the day will come, when we don't have to worry about syncing anymore. This software definitely gets us one step into the right direction.

Perhaps your K660 came with a slow memory stick? I've seen speeds up to 2.3 MB/s with the latest Sony Ericsson phones. Could be a slow USB bus on the K660, but that'd surprise me a bit. Perhaps other users could chime in?

"Back-sync" (phone to computer) of podcast "play count" is definitely something I'm looking into.

Best.
