Can't synchronize my BB Bold using the Mac Media Sync. Here are the details:

- Fresh install of Media Sync Mac 1.02 (177).
- Blackberry Bold, 8Gb card, Media Sync recognizes the card, and sees 3Gb free space
- I see that Media Sync installed a txt file on the root of the BB storage card.
- I can browse the card from Media Sync, and it sees all content, organized correctly (audio, video, pictures)
- I can browse playlists in iTunes, and they are all there
- I can select playlists for synching

But the Sync button is dimmed, and won't work.

Incidentally, I purchased the software, and the serial number is not being accepted - it says "invalid serial number". I've sent an email to customer service about that.

Help!

You must select a playlist to sync, before the Sync button is enabled.

As for your serial number, I recommend double-checking your entry.

Best.

Yes, several playlists were selected, that was my first thought.

The screenshot I uploaded didn't show that a couple playlists were selected below the visible window. Here is another example, from a second computer that I installed on. The selected playlist does not exist on the Bold, it was just created.

The app almost works on the Bold. The problem is two-fold:

1. Both storages are sometimes exposed on the computer. Ideally, I'd like Media Sync to only recognize the largest storage (typically the card). Note: Media Sync will ignore a Bold storage, if there's no BlackBerry folder on it.

2. There's currently an issue when multiple devices/storages are used at the same time, causing the Sync button state to not always be correct.

My recommendation, until we've dealt with these things, is that you try to remove (if possible) the BlackBerry folder on your phone's internal storage. This will make Media Sync only recognize your phone's SD card, and the Sync button should work as expected.

Best.

OK, got it to work. The BB internal storage volume did not have a Blackberry folder, so I could not delete anything. However the Media Sync app did install a MediaSyncDeviceID.txt file on the internal storage. And when I opened Media Sync, I was seeing two Sync windows, one for the internal storage, and one for the SD card. Apparently the existence of two volumes, each with a MediaSyncDeviceID.txt file on it, was creating confusing for the Media Sync application.

I deleted the .txt file from the internal storage, then dragged the internal storage volume (which was called "Blackberry1") to the trash to unmount it.

As soon as I did that, the Sync button became active on the remaining SD storage volume (which is called "No Name").

Thanks for the guidance!
