Hi.

First of all i like this product. I really enjoyed using this. Nice work.

Ok here are my troubles : i bought a new phone a few days ago - a HTC Touch Pro 2 -. The phone is nice but after installing the salling clicker client for windows mobile (6.1) i've got this status for the bluetooth connection :

Not connected :
Bluetooth : not available

Of course bluetooth is activated on the phone. I am able to do all kind of things like pushing files or establishing a PAN network...

One thing to notice is that the bluetooth configuration panel on this phone is not the same as the one i used to see on my others windows mobile devices... it as been redesigned - very user friendly ! -. I have to say that i tried a few other apps and resco explorer does not find the bluetooth too.

Salling clicker is working fine with a wifi connection but i need to use bluetooth.

So i suspect that bluetooth stack has been customized by HTC but perhaps am i wrong ?

Could anybody help me to diagnose the problem ?

Regards.

From this site : http://www.seguridadmobile.com/windows-mobile/windows-mobile-security/HTC-Windows-Mobile-OBEX-FTP-Service-Directory-Traversal.html

"HTC devices using Widcomm Bluetooth Stack instead of Microsoft Bluetooth Stack are not affected, presently only HTC TOUCH PRO2™."

From the About panel in the bluetooth settings :
Bluetooth for Windows Mobile
Version 1.9.0 Build 1440
Adresse -> the MAC address
Version HCI 4.72
Version LMP 4.33031 (15)

Okay. Good.

Let's try this experiment:

1. Uninstall the Clicker client currently on your phone.
2. Click Set up Device inside Clicker on your computer
3. Select:
BRAND: Windows Mobile 5 (yes, 5)
MODEL: Pocket PC (Broadcom)

Please let us know how this works.

Best.

Great ! It works.
I've tried a few things and all seams to work as before with my old HTC touch pro.

Thanks for the answer !

Is there any drawback to use the wm5 client ?

Regards.

got this working on the T-Mobile Touch Pro II as well, but is it possible to get the Directional Pad to be a little larger? It's really hard to navigate on the touch pro II without opening up the qwerty pad and using the directional keypad, and that's hard to use while giving a presentation.

I have the same problems as per link below

http://htcwiki.wetpaint.com/thread/2593804/Bluetooth+Issues+with+Touch+Pro

Greater detail of issue is as below, anybody got any idea as to what to do. Volvo blame HTC and guess who HTC blame

Symptoms of failure of the Bluetooth set up

Does dial out but doesn’t ring inside the phone
Does connect to other end but no voice can be heard at either end
Does download the phonebook

Background

Phone shipped as HTC Touch Pro 2 with Windows Mobile 6.5 – ROM 1.86.401.0 (401 Designates English)
Car delivered as follows Volvo XC 60 – 04.22_R Bluetooth
Phone publicised on Volvo Cars web site as compatible please see http://www.volvocars.com/intl/sales-services/sales/car-devices/bluetooth/pages/default.aspx. Firmware must be version ROM 1.19.413.2
Downgraded the phone to ROM 1.19.413.2, phone becomes Swedish + Windows Mobile 6.1
Downgrade the phone to ROM 1.19.401.1 phone becomes English + Windows Mobile 6.1
Without setting up the e-mail the phone becomes compatible with car Bluetooth for voice and phonebook
Setting up e-mail the phone returns to the original issue as per symptoms
Upgrade back to ROM 1.86.401.0 + Windows Mobile 6.5
Without setting up the e-mail the phone becomes compatible with car Bluetooth for voice, says that it downloads the phonebook, but no data is available from car side
Setting up e-mail the phone returns to the original issue as per symptoms
Yesterday upgrade car so that latest version of Bluetooth for Volvo is installed namely 04.23_R
Phone has ROM 1.86.401.0 + Windows Mobile 6.5 installed and email set up, upgrade fails to resolve problem

Regards :(

So strange, I am having the same issues with my phone. I am wondering if I have failed to set up the Bluetooth correctly. I am going to try installing it just to make sure. Any luck on your end ?
